Gerd Muller Dies: Germany’s legendary footballer Gerd Müller has said goodbye to the world. The Bayern Munich star player breathed his last at the age of 75.
This was confirmed in an official statement from Bayern and wrote, ‘Today Bayern Munich is in mourning. The German champions and all their fans are saddened by his passing. He passed away on Sunday morning.

The club wrote in its statement, ‘Muller made historic performances for Bayern Munich and Germany. Muller scored 566 goals in 607 matches for our club.

He is the highest goalscorer in the Bundesliga till date. He was also the highest goalscorer for seven times. For Germany, he scored 68 goals in 62 matches.

Germany won the World Cup in 1974 on the basis of Muller. World Cup and European Championship winner Muller was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2015. Since then he was getting his treatment.
