The artist formerly known as Heath Slater, now simply Heath, has shared some details regarding his absence from wrestling over the past few months.
Having not wrestled since October’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view, where ‘The Hottest Free Agent’ finally earned his Impact Wrestling contract, the former multi-time Tag Team Champion posted an update to his Twitter page as he announced his surgery date for Monday, 1 March.
Heath is currently suffering from a sports hernia on the left side of his pubic bone, another hernia on the right side of his body, and a rip on both sides of his abdomen wall, while his abductor muscle has torn completely off the bone.

It had previously been reported that Heath suffered the first of these injuries during Bound For Glory’s Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match. He was reportedly scheduled to win the bout before having to be taken out of the fray via injury, with tag partner Rhino last eliminating Sami Callihan instead.
Heath’s last Impact appearance came on the 17 November edition of Impact Wrestling, where he was laid out backstage by Eric Young and Joe Doering of Violent By Design. Expect to see him back in the picture later this year.
