As we count down to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup starting tomorrow, there have been many batters in history who not only show brute force, but also display classical technique, timing and flair.
Today we look at 5 such batters, who have the most number of fours in the history of T20 internationals:
#5 – Aaron Finch (Australia – 248 fours)
Australia’s T20I captain has been around for over a decade in the international scene, and he has been a stalwart for the men in canary yellow in white-ball cricket.
He has the most number of fours by an Australian in T20 internationals!
#4 – Rohit Sharma (India – 252 fours)
The Hitman and India’s white-ball vice-captain is currently sitting at 252 fours. He’s been around since the inaugural edition in 2007, so it only makes sense for him to be a part of this list.
He will look to add further to his tally in the World Cup!
#3 – Martin Guptill (New Zealand – 256 fours)
It’s the NZ veteran opener Martin Guptill who makes it at No.3 on the list. He has been a legend for the Kiwis in white-ball cricket over the years, and will once again be a force to be reckoned with, in this edition!

#2 – Virat Kohli (India – 285 fours)
The Indian skipper used to lead this list for a very long time, and has been only recently dethroned.
However, he look to reclaim the No.1 spot in the upcoming World Cup, which also happens to be his last assignment as India’s T20 captain!
#1 – Paul Stirling (Ireland – 288 fours)
It’s a surprise entry at No.1, but it is Irish legend Paul Stirling who has the most number of fours in T20 internationals currently. He broke this record last Sunday as he went past Kohli.
With Ireland being a part of The First Round, the men in green will look to Stirling to continue his good form to ensure a Super 12s place for them!
