ICC Test Championship: In an attempt to refuel the longest form of cricket, ICC inaugurated the Test championship in 2019. All the nine test playing nations are part of the tournament. The top two teams will play the final in the lords, scheduled for June 18-22, 2021. Currently, New Zealand is on the top of the table with 118 points. India is trailing behind them at the second spot.

From Ben Stokes’ Ashes heroics to India breaching the fortress Gaba, the cricketing world has witnessed some of the finest test match performances in the last 18 months. Here are the top 5 individual scores of the debut edition ICC test championship.

5: Mayank Agarwal: 243 against Bangladesh (Nov-2019)

It is just the beginning of Agarwal’s career, and he already has two test tons to boast. The monk in the Indian dressing room went on to amass 243 runs against Bangladesh.

4: Kane Williamson: 251 against West Indies (Dec-2020)

The Kiwi skipper has a hundred against nine international opponents. Williamson, known for breaking records for fun, played a captain’s knock against West Indies and scored 251 runs, which is also his highest test score.

3: Virat Kohli: 254 against South Africa ( Oct-2019)

In a batting masterclass against the mighty Proteas, King Kohli’s double ton was full of glorious cover-drives. Kohli has managed to cross the 200 runs in seven occasions so far.

2: Zak Crawley: 267 against Pakistan (Aug-2020)

Crawley paid back on the selectors’ faith in him when he scored a mammoth 267 against an excellent Pakistan bowling unit. The Englishman took just 393 balls to reach this score.

1: David warner: 335 against Pakistan (Dec-2019)

David Warner had to miss out on the test cricket for twelve months following a ban from ICC. It looks like his hunger to score big only sharpened in that period. Warner returned to the big stage and scored a massive 335 against Pakistan with a strike-rate of 80.14
