India Cricket team schedule is out for second ICC WTC starting from August 2021
Indian Cricket Team: Just a day ago, we were hoping for India to lift the WTC Mess at Southampton. But it was New Zealand who conquered the stage by defeating India to be crowned as the World Test Champions.
It was heartbreaking for the Indian cricket team as well as Indian cricket fans. But, life is all about to go on.
India played some brilliant cricket throughout the maiden WTC cycle and now will move on to the second cycle of WTC from August 2021.
The second season of the World Test Championship is set to start from July 2021 and will end in 2023. As per the format for the WTC, each side will play three home and three away series. India announced the schedule for the second cycle of WTC.
India tour of England, 2021
Team India currently is in England and will start their proceedings of the World Test Championship against England, where Kohli and company set to play away five-match Test series. This will be the inaugural series of second cycle WTC for India as well as England. The Series is ready to take place from August 4 to September 14.
- Aug 4-8: England vs India, First Test, Trent bridge
- August 12-16: England vs India, second Test, Lord’s
- August 25-29: England vs India, Third Test, Headingley
- September 2-6: England vs India, Fourth Test, Kennington Oval
- September 10-14: England vs India, Fifth Test, Old Trafford
New Zealand tour of India, 2021
New Zealand was the only team that beat India in a series of inaugural World Test Championship. Now, India will get a clear chance to take revenge and beat Kiwis on Indian soil. Blackcaps will tour India by the year ending of 2021 for a two-Test match series in November.
Matches dates, venue, and some further details are yet to be disclosed.

India tour of South Africa, 2022
After battling out with the Kiwis, India will go to South Africa for their second away series of the World Test Championship. India will play the Three Test Match series over there and is likely to happen in December 2021 and January 2022.
Sri Lanka tour of India,2022
Srilanka will come to India to play a three-Test match series just before the IPL. It will be the second home series for India in the WTC. This will be a 3 Test match series.

Australia tour of India, 2022
India will have another golden opportunity to crush Aussies in Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which is likely to take place around October and November in the year 2022. Australia will play 4 Test matches in this series against India.
India tour of Bangladesh, 2022
After the final home series in the WTC against Australia, India will take on the Bangla tigers in the final WTC series of the second cycle in Bangladesh. India will take Bangladesh hand in hand in two-test matches over there.
