Indian born cricketer Simi Singh has created history For Ireland in 3rd ODI against South Africa

Ireland vs South Africa, 3rd ODI: History was created between Ireland and South Africa in the third and final ODI match played in Dublin (The Village, Dublin) on 16 July.

During this match, Punjab-born Simi Singh scored a century. With this, a big achievement was registered in his name.  Simi Singh came out to bat for Ireland at number 8 and scored an unbeaten 100 in 91 balls with the help of 14 fours.

With this, Simi Singh has become the first player to score a century by coming at 8th or lower batting order. Before him, the record for the biggest innings was in the name of Chris Woakes. Who scored an unbeaten 95 against Sri Lanka in 2016.

We also inform you that on the basis of excellent innings of opener Jaaneman Malan (177 not out). And Quinton de Kock (120), South Africa defeated Ireland by 70 runs in this match played at The Village.  With this, the series between the two teams drawn 1-1.

After winning the toss, South Africa batted first, Malan’s unbeaten 177 runs off 169 balls with 16 fours and six sixes and de Kock’s 91 balls with 11 fours and five sixes made 120 runs in 50 overs for four wickets in 50 overs. Scored 346 runs.

Chasing the target, Ireland’s team was all out for 276 runs in 47.1 overs despite Simi Singh’s unbeaten 100 runs off 91 balls with the help of 14 fours. Andile Phehlukwayo and Tabrez Shamsi took three wickets each for South Africa.
