IPL 2021: English Players & Indian players will go for 6-days quarantine before start of IPL on UAE

IPL 2021: The final Test between India and England got called off due to some COVID-19 cases in the Indian camp. The Indian side did not field their team in Manchester. After the senior players got stuck and the match was called off.

It is to be noted that the second phase of IPL 2021 is near and the eyes of the franchises are to get their players out of the UK.

It has been confirmed by a franchise official that the BCCI has directed a mandatory six-day quarantine for players arriving from the UK before joining the IPL bubble.

However, It is very clear that bubble to bubble transfer is no longer valid as there are already some cases in the Indian camp.

A franchise official was quoted as saying by Latestly, “The BCCI has informed us that every player coming from the UK to the UAE will have to undergo a six-day isolation before joining the team bubble.

Almost A week Quarantine

Obviously, the bubble from the UK to the UAE is a must -to-bubble transfer will no longer be possible keeping in mind the prevailing circumstances.”

Meanwhile, RCB said that they have arranged a charter flight for their captain Virat Kohli and pacer Mohammad Siraj.  They will leave for Dubai from UK at around 11.30 pm on Saturday.

A team source said that the safe movement of players is a top priority for them.

A team source said, “Yes, we have arranged a charter flight for Virat and Siraj, both will take off at 11:30 PM UK time on Saturday. And they will reach Dubai on Sunday morning. Players safe for RCB. Transfer is the top priority. They will go through a 6-day isolation there before joining the team bubble.”

In this episode, CSK is also trying its best to get its players out of Britain as soon as possible. The CSK CEO confirmed that they will take Cheteshwar Pujara. Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur to Dubai on Saturday itself.

“Now that the Test match is over. We want to take the CSK boys to Dubai tomorrow,” Kasi Viswanathan said on Friday.
