IPL 2021: Kireon Pollard arrives in UAE to join MI team ahead of 2nd phase of IPL

IPL 2021 Kieron Pollard: Meanwhile, MI all-rounder Kieron Pollard has reached Abu Dhabi. Now only two days are left for the second leg of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League to begin.

The first match of this phase will take place between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings on Sunday. Meanwhile, MI all-rounder Kieron Pollard has reached Abu Dhabi.

Mumbai Indians gave information about Pollard’s arrival in Abu Dhabi on their official Twitter account. “Big Man Pollard is here and we are all one family under one roof,” he wrote in the tweet. Kieron Pollard captained his side Trinbago Knight Riders in the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League.

The Big Man Has Arrived

The 34-year-old Caribbean cricketer is coming after playing the CPL, so he will be quarantined for two days. After that, Pollard will join the training session of the Mumbai Indians team.

Kieron Pollard has performed brilliantly in CPL 2021. He scored 261 runs in 11 matches at an average of 37.28, including 2 half-centuries. Mumbai Indians will be happy with such a performance by Pollard and hope they do the same thing in the second phase of IPL 2021.

Significantly, the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League was canceled in May due to Covid-19. At that time the players of many teams had got corona infection, due to which the BCCI decided to postpone it indefinitely.

Now once again the tournament is starting after almost four months.
