IPL 2021 POSTPONED: The IPL 2021 season came to a tragic end when the BCCI have taken the call to suspend the league to a later date in the future or next year probably.
Let’s look at some of the reasons why IPL has to postpone.Â
1) The issues started when the cases in India were on the rise at an alarming rate. And on the whole 71% of most states have been affected and are fighting with their last resources. This had a speculations is to the reason overseas players and a few Indian players had to drop off the tournament early.
2) The main reason was because of the bio bubble norms been broken by a few players which led for them to test positive for Covid-19.

3) This led to a stage where the match between KKR and RCB called off on Monday when Varun and Sandeep both tested positive. They had broken the bio bubble when he visited officially through ‘Green Channel’ to test his shoulder, where he could have contracted it.
4) L. Balaji of the CSK management also tested positive. After the Saturday’s thriller of a match between CSK and MI. After 48 hours, he tested positive and put everyone else in the bubble at a panic state.

5) The groundsmen in the Arun Jaitley Stadium also tested positive for Covid-19. This stadium hosted the match between RR and SRH. Which potentially put the teams and their management in threat of contracting the virus. Also earlier Amit Mishra and SRH Saha also tested positive for COVID-19.
All these reasons including the situation in the country led to the officials BCCI led to suspend the tournament. Until further date for the safety of the players, management, families and the country.
