IPL 2021: Rishabh Pant will continue to take Delhi Capitals’ charge for 2nd Phase of IPL
IPL 2021: Delhi Capitals confirmed that Rishabh Pant will continue as the captain of the team for the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League, which is being restored from September 19.
Before the IPL season was suspended. Due to several cases of Covid-19 infection in a biologically safe environment. Delhi Capitals had performed brilliantly under Pant. He was fully expected to be retained as captain.

The Delhi team, however, made it to the IPL finals for the first time last year under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer.

Pant was handed the captaincy of Delhi due to Iyer’s injury and the Delhi team led by him won six matches. Before the league was suspended and are leading with 12 points.
“The team of Delhi Capitals, co-owned by JSW-GMR. As today announces that Rishabh Pant will continue as the captain of the team for the remainder of the IPL 2021 season”. The franchise tweeted from its official Twitter handle. It was reported that Pant would be retained as the captain.
