IPL 2021 UAE Phase: IPL is set to resume this September in UAE. It brings a lot of joy to the fans. The IPL window clashes with some big series for which BCCI has been requesting everyone to reschedule accordingly.

It’s understood that due to other commitments, these 5 key players are likely to miss the IPL in UAE:

David WarnerIPL 2021 UAE Phase

It is highly likely that Warner may not come back for the UAE IPL. Australian players reached back home on 31/5/21 after two months of quarantine. With Ashes on the calendar, it will be a big hindrance. In the first half of IPL 2021, we witnessed a shock where Warner was sacked from his captaincy for SRH.

Jos ButtlerIPL 2021 UAE Phase

Jos Buttler has been the most flexible player for Rajasthan Royals in the past. His powerful batting helps the team to continue the flow of runs. He is the prime batsman for the side. Rajasthan will surely miss him if he doesn’t make it to UAE. He played 65 matches in IPL where he scored 1968 runs. His highest score- 124.  

Jofra ArcherIPL 2021 UAE Phase

Jofra is the lifeline of the bowling at Rajasthan Royals. He missed the start of the 2021 season due to his injury and is again Injured. He will not participate in the upcoming tests of England vs New Zealand. Rajasthan will try hard to not feel his absence. He played 35 matches, taking 46 wickets. His best- 15/3.

Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins is the key performer for KKR. He never fails to perform for the team and takes wickets in the middle. Australian pacer Pat Cummins is highly likely to miss the later phase of the UAE considering his commitment to the national side. He has played 37 matches and taken 38 wickets. His best- 4/34.

Steve SmithIPL 2021 UAE Phase

Steve Smith was surprisingly sold at just 2.2 crores in IPL 2021. He was apparently the best deal Delhi made in the auction. Steve Smith is an asset and provides a good balance to the side. With the upcoming Ashes series and Smith being the key player for Australia.  He is unlikely to make a comeback in the UAE. He has played 101 matches and has scored 2437 runs. Smith’s highest score: 101.
