As we move closer to the Mega Auction of IPL 2022, the Delhi Capitals will once again begin their chase for that elusive IPL title. However, they will be able to retain only 4 of the current squad members they have.
So who will they retain? Here are our picks:
#4 – Rishabh Pant
The young sensation was picked up by Delhi way back in IPL 2016, and their investment in him is now reaping huge rewards!
The southpaw captained the franchise in the 2021 season and helped them reach their 3rd-consecutive playoffs. It is almost certain that he will retain his captaincy position, which was handed to him after original captain Shreyas Iyer was injured.
#3 – Kagiso Rabada
The South African speedster didn’t have a good IPL 2021, however, he has been a talisman for the Delhi Capitals, especially in 2019 and 2020 seasons! It should be a no-brainer for the franchise to not let him go!
#2 – Anrich Nortje
From one Protea speedster to another, both of them have been the reasons for Delhi’s success in the last 2 seasons. Nortje is in the pink of his bowling form currently, and the franchise will not think twice before retaining his services for the next season!

#1 – Shreyas Iyer
Although there are rumours that he does not want to continue with the Capitals, Iyer has been a huge asset for them ever since getting picked back in the 2015 auction!
The Capitals would surely find a way out to ensure the talented batter stays with them for the next season as well!
