The Pink Army from Jaipur has not had a very successful run in the IPL ever since they won the title in the year 2008. They will be looking forward to the Mega Auction, as it would give them the overhaul they desperately need!
However, from the current squad, the franchise will look to retain a few people who are key to their core. So these are our picks for these 4 retentions:
#4 – Sanju Samson
The current captain will, in all likelihood, continue to be at the helm of affairs of Rajasthan next year as well. He had his best-ever season with the bat in hand in IPL 2021, scoring 484 runs at an average of 40.33, striking at 136.72!
The franchise will surely be looking to build the team around him, for the coming years!
#3 – Jos Buttler
The English batter is currently one of the best white-ball batters in the world! Although he did not participate in the UAE leg of IPL 2021, the Rajasthan owners will not be thinking at all to release him, because of what he brings to the table.
His IPL record speaks for himself – In 64 innings, he has scored 1,968 runs at an average of 35.14 and a very healthy strike rate of 150!

#2 – Chetan Sakariya
The left-armer has been a revelation for Rajasthan in the 2021 season. In 14 innings, he claimed 14 wickets at a decent economy of 8.19 and an average of 30.43.
Sakariya will be a great prospect for the franchise in the coming years!
#1 – Ben Stokes
The English all-rounder missed the UAE leg of IPL 2021 due to a finger injury as well as a mental health break. He has a decent IPL record – scoring 920 runs in 42 innings at an average of 25.56, striking at a rate of 134.5!
Stokes is a game-changer who can single-handedly take the match away from the opposition easily. Rajasthan will not want to lose out on such a gem of a player!
