IPL teams who have won the most IPL trophies (2008-2021), Check Updated List

IPL teams with Most Trophies: The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) led by MS Dhoni after a disappointing lowly seventh last season thumped Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2021 to lift their 4th title.

The Men In Yellow received backlash last year after missing a spot in the playoffs but with their stupendous performance became the first team to secure a playoffs spot and the first to enter the VIVO IPL 2021 final, beating Delhi Capitals in the first Qualifier.
In the IPL 2021 final clash, CSK managed to put up a strong total of 192 runs after being asked to bat first. Faf du Plessis with his tremendous 86, and super strikes from Ruturaj Gaikwad (32), Robin Uthappa (31) and Moeen Ali (37) with their batting skills set up a strong fight.
However, Kolkata Knight Riders who bounced back in the second leg of the league, with their impressive wins, couldn’t chase the set total and lost by 27 runs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. That was a WhistlePodu finale clash, wasn’t it?
With CSK has lifted their 4th title, so far only few teams have managed to do so. You can check out the IPL winners list of all seasons here as we present to you the top 5 teams to win most IPL titles so far.

Teams That Have Never Won An IPL Title

Royal Challengers Bangalore

One of the favourites in the game, Royal Challengers Bangalore despite having the most star-studded team, has never won an IPL title so far.
They did make it to the finals thrice but luck did not favour them. In IPL 2021, the Virat Kohli-led side put up a brilliant show throughout the season but lost to Kolkata Knight Riders in the Eliminator match. Sadly, the 14th edition will be Virat’s final as a skipper for RCB.

Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI Punjab was considered to be one of the most promising teams in the IPL but nothing worked their way.
However, they did make it to the IPL 2014 finals but only to lose to Gautam Gambhir’s Kolkata Knight Riders in a thriller finale contest. This season, they settled for the 6th position winning 6 matches and losing 8.
Delhi Daredevils/Capitals
The team based out of Delhi has been the poorest and inconsistent in the tournament. However, the fortunes changed in IPL 2020 under Shreyas Iyer’s captaincy and went onto become the strongest contenders in the game. They became the runner up in 2020 and settled for the 3rd spot in IPL 2021.
Meanwhile, Rising Pune Supergiant, Pune Warriors, Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Gujarat Lions are a few dissolved IPL franchises that never bagged an IPL trophy.
