John Cena apology for his “Taiwan” comment, have different perspectives in WWE Backstage.

16 times world champion John Cena found himself, in spite of himself, involved in a delicate and unpleasant situation.

The video in which he apologizes to China and the Chinese for having defined Taiwan as a “country”. During an interview for the promotion of the film Fast 9, has now been around the world.

If, on the one hand, the apology video somehow calmed the discontent of Chinese fans, on the other hand it aroused criticism from those who believe that, in reality there was nothing to apologize for.

The one involving Taiwan, which China considers its province, is a very delicate international political affair and John has ended up in it.

The apology video uploaded by John Cena on the Chinese social network Weibo has received a lot of criticism; according to many John would have bowed to China.

Now, it seems that even in WWE circles the apologies to China have not been frowned upon and there seems to be some discontent towards the 16-time world champion. Andrew Zarin, host of the “Mat Men” podcast, reported: “John Cena’s apology was not taken very well in WWE”.

Clearly this is an indiscretion, without official confirmation; however Zarin in the recent past has anticipated news that later proved to be true, such as, for example, the passage of NXT to Tuesday evening.

As mentioned, the story is rather delicate and is causing a great debate. For example, CM Punk intervened on the issue by modifying the bio of his Twitter page which now carries the phrase: “Taiwan is a country”.

However, there was no lack of interventions to support the one who for years was the face of Stamford; among these that of JBL who showed solidarity with his friend John.
