John Cena: Definitely interested in filming a movie with The Rock
John Cena recently sat down with Complex News to discuss his upcoming film, Fast & Furious 9. During the interview he was asked about adding him to the hugely popular and profitable franchise.
Cena, who recently confirmed that his return to WWE is imminent, said it was an honor to join the franchise, but noted that it is not the first time that he has joined a massive, global industry.
“Fast & Furious, to me, is the same as WWE. They have a globally successful, multi-million dollar franchise filled with stars, action, excitement, drama, resources, and support from the studios.
They don’t really need me. But, man, what a gift and what an opportunity it is to be able to get into that dressing room, so to speak, metaphorically, and then go out and act. So the opportunity is not lost on me.

I also understand the magnitude of this. They are inviting me to be part of something special, so I have to treat this opportunity as it deserves. I did so with my time in WWE, which is not over yet, but I really apply the same principle. ”

During the interview, Cena also talked about whether he would consider doing a box office version of WrestleMania 28. Cena said that he is definitely interested in filming a movie with The Rock in the future. But he also said that there was much more to the whole process than just his opinion.
“I do not think my opinion is worth much to connect those points since this also depended on many other factors. But I think it would be entertaining. So, without hesitation, I sign up.
Although we will see if it ends up happening or not. Today in We’re in a wonderful wave of entertainment every day. There is a lot of content out there, content is constantly being created. People have entertainment to spare. It would take the stars to align. It would be a very complex process for our schedules to synchronize. Still, it sounds very good idea”. 
Following these statements, a fan asked fellow actor and former WWE superstar, Dave Bautista (Batista) if he would be interested in appearing in a feature film with his companions John Cena and The Rock. The response was so surprising that it created a huge stir on social media. “No, I’m fine like this” was what he replied.

After these words, the former WWE champion clarified through another tweet, where he included some images of his film incursions, that he simply did not want to be put in the same bag as his companions.
