“A source from the creative team told us that a goal for tonight’s SmackDown was to enhance the rivalry between Reigns and Cena. The match will be sold by names only. But some feel the build has been lackluster,” WrestleVotes wrote on Twitter.
In addition to the confrontation between Roman Reigns and John Cena, WWE has advertised matches and segments for tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown show. King Nakamura will face Apollo Crews in a match where the Intercontinental Championship will be at stake. Additionally, Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair will sign the contract for their match at SummerSlam.
