PBKS beats SRH: Punjab Kings defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by five runs in the thrilling match of IPL 2021 on the back of a brilliant performance by the bowlers led by Ravi Bishnoi (3/24).

Batting first, Punjab Kings scored 125 for seven in 20 overs.

Chasing the target, the Hyderabad team could only manage 120 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs on the help of an unbeaten 47 with the help of five sixes off 29 balls by Jason Holder.

Apart from Bishnoi for Punjab, Mohammed Shami took two wickets while Arshdeep Singh got one wicket.

Chasing the target, Hyderabad had a poor start and they lost the wickets of David Warner (2), captain Kane Williamson (1) and Manish Pandey (13) for a total of 32.

After this, Bishnoi gave the fourth blow to Hyderabad by bowling Kedar Jadhav (12).  After this, Bishnoi dismissed Abdul Samad (1) and completely faltered Hyderabad’s innings.

However, Saha was run out for stealing runs quickly and this partnership was broken Saha scored 31 runs off 37 balls with the help of a four, then Rashid Khan (3) returned to the pavilion as the seventh batsman.  Bhuvneshwar Kumar remained unbeaten on three runs in Hyderabad’s innings.

Earlier, coming to bat, Punjab did not have a good start, they lost the wickets of captain Lokesh Rahul (21) and Mayank Agarwal (5) for a total of 27.

After this, Chris Gayle and Aidan Makram tried to handle the innings and there was a partnership of 30 runs between the two, but Gayle could not last long and was dismissed after scoring 14 runs.  Makram played the highest innings of 27 runs in 32 balls with the help of 2 fours.

In Punjab’s innings, Nicholas Pooran eight, Deepak Hooda 13 and Nathan Ellis scored 12, while Harpreet Brar 18 and Shami remained unbeaten without opening an account.

For Hyderabad, Jason Holder took three, while Khaleel Ahmed, Sandeep Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan and Abdul Samad took one wicket each.
