LSG vs DC Highlights: In the 15th match of IPL played between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants, LSG led by Rahul registered a spectacular victory.

Experienced batsman Quinton de Kock played a match-winning innings for Lucknow.

Together with captain Rahul, he gave a solid start to the team. In the last over of Shardul Thakur, Ayush Badoni gave the team victory by hitting brilliant fours.

Rahul scored 24 runs in 25 balls. De Kock and Rahul added 73 runs for the first wicket in 9.4 overs. Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Rahul. De Kock scored 80 runs off 52 balls and he was also dismissed by Kuldeep.

Delhi had given a target of 150 runs to Lucknow.

Earlier, after opener Prithvi Shaw’s stormy half-century, the bowlers of Lucknow Super Giants made a good comeback and allowed Delhi Capitals to score 149 runs for three wickets.

Shaw scored 61 runs in 34 balls which included nine fours and two sixes. Captain Rishabh Pant (39 not out off 36 balls, three fours, two sixes) and Sarfaraz Khan (36 not out off 28 balls, three fours) put on an unbroken 75-run partnership for the fourth wicket but they did not play freely as per their laurels. Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets

For Lucknow, leg-spinner Rabi Bishnoi took two wickets for 22 runs. Jason Holder (30 runs in four overs) and Avesh Khan (32 runs in three overs) conceded only 19 runs in the last three overs.

Lucknow spinners Bishnoi, Krishnappa Gautam (1 for 23) and Krunal Pandya (12 runs in 2 overs) conceded only 57 runs in 10 overs and took three wickets.

All eyes were on David Warner at the start of the innings, who was making a comeback to the Delhi side after nine years, but it was Shaw who impressed with his quick but skilful batting.

Shaw, who started with two fours on Gautam, spoiled his line and length by hitting a beautiful six at midwicket on Holder and welcomed Avesh Khan with three consecutive fours.

Warner’s bat was mute but thanks to Shaw, Delhi managed to score 52 runs in the powerplay.

Warner’s contribution in this was only three runs. Shaw completed his half-century in 30 balls and after that hit Gautam for six and four but was caught by wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock on the next ball.

Delhi’s score was soon reduced to 74 for three from 67 for no loss. Warner could only score four runs in 12 balls and returned to the pavilion by giving a simple catch to the short third man off Bishnoi.

This leg-spinner then spits on the googly by Rovman Powell (three runs in 10 balls). The bowlers of Lucknow kept the batsmen completely tied in the middle overs.

Nevertheless, that a batsman like Rishabh Pant had scored only eight runs in 19 balls at one time. He faced the 20th ball and hit the first four.

And then in the next over Andrew Tye hit two scintillating sixes, but only one four was hit in the last three overs.
