Luka Modric creates record for Croatia against Scotland last night; check out details


Luka Modric record: It was a record-breaking night for Croatia’s Luka Modric as he guided his nation to the Round of 16 pf the Euro 2020.

Modric holds the record for being the youngster player to score for Croatia at a European Championships.

The Real Madrid player was 22 years and 73 days when he scored in the Euro 2008 against Austria. Croatia won 1-0 through Modric’s penalty.

At the age of 35 years and 286 days last night, Modric became the oldest player to score for Croatia at the European championships as well.

Luka Modric will look to continue his good performances as he helps Croatia rise amongst the best sides in the Euro 2020.

Croatia secured their spot in the Round of 16 following the win against Scotland.

The 2018 World Cup runners-up did not have the best of starts to their Group stage.

They lost to England 1-0 in their opening fixture which was followed by a 1-1 draw against Czech Republic.

A superb performance against Scotland gave them their first victory of the Euro 2020.
