Marco Reus becomes top scorer for Borussia Dortmund with strike against Manchester City; Dortmund lose 2-1


Marco Reus became the top scorer in the UEFA Champions League history for Borussia Dortmund. With his goal in the 2-1 loss to Manchester City last night.
Reus scored the equalizer in the 84th minute by sliding his shot into the bottom right corner to restore parity.

ImageReus with his strike now has 18 goals for Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, surpassing Robert Lewandowski’s 17 strikes for BVB before he joined Der Klassiker opponents, Bayern Munich.
Marco Reus has scored 18 times in 49 appearances for Borussia Dortmund.
His first goal was in the 2012/13 season group stage clash against the same opponents, Manchester City in the 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium.
Reus plays an important role for Dortmund wheel this season as far as the Champions League is concerned.

In addition to the goals scored, Reus has provided 17 assists in the Champions League as well.
He has played in various positions being Left Winger, Attacking Midfielder, Right Winger and Center Forward. Which gives him the wide range to pick his position.
Marco Reus and Dortmund will face Manchester City next week  again in 2nd leg of UCL quarterfinal.
