Morocco 2-0 Belgium: Sabiri and Aboukhlal’s second half efforts seal a deserved win for Morocco as they beat Belgium 2-0 on Sunday in Group F.
Belgium were far from good and lacked desire to make a difference. The Red Devils had plenty possession but Morocco made opportunities count.
FIRST HALF
Martinez’s men had plenty of possession but not test the Morocco goal as they lacked in the final third.
Morocco wasn’t pleased with their own performance but held on till half-time with a chance or two on goal.
Ziyech remained a threat down the flank as he kept the Belgian defence on their toes.
He found the back of the net in 1st half extra time but his goal was ruled out for offside.
SECOND HALF
Morocco began the 2nd half and it was livelier than the first as both teams worked towards getting their rhythm.
Like Argentina vs Mexico, tackles flew it as the important of the result was understood by both sets of players.
However; Morocco showed more hunger and desire to get at the Belgian goal through spells of possession and quick play.

It worked out for them in the 73rd minute as Sabiri gave them the lead. Courtois did not get in line of the ball and saw it go through a crowd.
Belgium brought in Lukaku as a first change but the striker was felt alone up top and unable to make an impact.
Morocco continued their surge to finish off the contest and did they do so in the 92nd minute when Aboukhlal sealed the deal.
Ziyech’s wriggled into the right before Aboukhal struck home from the cutback to seal the deal.
With 4 points, Morocco moved to the top while Belgium stayed in 2nd with a crucial match vs Croatia awaiting them.
