Most Doubles in EPL: The Premier League has seen some of the greatest players over time who have not only scored but also assisted various goals.

This is where we come across the term ‘Double-Doubles’, which refers to players who score atleast 10 goals and provide 10 assists in one season.

Such a criteria shows the players ability to not only score goals but also set up other team-mates goals.

Being able to influence a game in the EPL is a difficult ask as it is a complex and extremely fast-paced league.

Hence, if one is able to influence a result by goals and assists and on a regular basis, that player deserves a mention.

Over the years, Premier League has seen such ‘Ballers’ that have influenced the team’s performances and changed the team’s fortunes for the better.

Today, we look at the top 5 players who have registered the most Doubles in the EPL.

Mohamed Salah

Ever since his arrival from Roma, Salah has gone from strength to strength and become a mainstay of Liverpool.

Salah has completed the double-Doubles thrice in his Liverpool career (2017-18, 2019/20 and the 2021-22* seasons)

In his first season for the club, Salah scored and assisted 32 and 10 goals respectively helping the Reds finish in 4th place.

Two seasons ago, Salah scored 19 goals and provided 10 assists as well which helped Liverpool to winning their first domestic title in the Premier League era.

This season as well, Salah continues to dominate with his supreme skills and has currently 19 goals and 10 assists in the campaign.

The Egyptian may not be able to break his highest-goal tally for a season but is on his way to create more for his team-mates, as Liverpool eye glory.

Didier Drogba

The Chelsea maverick was different gravy when he played in the Premier League as his contributions made him an invaluable legend of the Club.

With 13 domestic titles and 1 UEFA Champions League title, Drogba won Chelsea 14 titles during two-spells at the clubs (4 EPL titles included).

Didier Drogba like Salah had 3 double seasons in the EPL (2005/06, 2009/10 and 2010/11).

In these 3 Double seasons; Drogba scored 12, 29 and 11 goals respectively while creating 15, 13 and 15 goals as well.

He also holds the record for most assists in the EPL by an African player (54).

Frank Lampard

The ex-Chelsea boss and club legend, Frank Lampard is a part of this list with 4 Double-Doubles in his EPL career with the Blues.

In his 4th season with the Blues, Lampard registered his first double with 13 goals and 18 assists.

Frank was once again instrumental in the 2006/07 season, when he scored 11 and created 10 goals in the season.

2008/09 was the third instance when he had 22 goal contributions (12 goals, 10 assists).

The best of Frank was in the following season where he scored 22 and provided 14 assists in that season.

Eric Cantona

1992/93, 1993/94, 1995/96 and 1996/1997 were the seasons where Cantona dominated in the Premier League.

During the 1992/93 season, Cantona scored 6 and provided 4 goals for Leeds before his move to Old Trafford. In the same season, he finished with 9 goals and 11 assists for the new club.

Following a great start, Eric found the net 18,14 and 11 times in the above-mentioned seasons alongside 12, 11 and 12 assists as well.

Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney is at the top of the pile with 5 Double-Doubles during his Stay in the EPL for Manchester United.

The club’s highest scorer was emphatic in 2006-07, 2007/08, 2010/11, 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons.

Rooney won the EPL title in all the seasons mentioned above barring the 2013/14.

Apart from being the club’s top-scorer, Wayne also provided 98 assists in his EPL career at Manchester United, finished 2nd behind Ryan Giggs.

This shows how empathic the Englishman was during his time in the Premier League. From goals to assists, Rooney was everywhere on the pitch.
