Mysterios create history at Wrestlemania Backlash, beat The Dirty Dawgs to become new Champions.Â
WWE Wrestlemania Backlash: During the broadcast of WrestleMania Backlash through Peacock. And WWE Network Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships after defeating The Dirty Dawgs in a tag team match.
Minutes before the PPV began, Dominik Mysterio then attacked backstage by The Dirty Dawgs, beating him into a corner and throwing him on top of an armchair. Doctors did not release him to fight and Rey chose to go fight only Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.

During the match, Rey attempted to have dominance over the Champions. But they both performed combo attacks to weaken Mysterio.
When Roode threw his weakened rival over the post. Dominik appeared to join the fight and despite with injury, he was willing to keep fighting. In the final minutes, Mysterio hit a 619 followed by a Sunset Bomb against Ziggler’s barricade. While Dominik splashed Roode for the win.
Mysterios New Champs
In this way, Rey and Dominik Mysterio become the first SmackDown Tag Team Champions who are father and son. Ending the reign of The Dirty Dawgs that lasted 119 days.
We remember that Ziggler and Roode won the titles on January 8, 2021, when they defeated Street Profits at the blue brand show.
