The Clarets are technically in action for the third time this summer, while Oldham plays for the fourth time before the start of the new League Two season.

Burnley got off to a positive start to his preseason program with a 4-0 victory over Salford City and a 2-1 victory over Morecambe last weekend.
Games were scheduled at the same time at the Barnfield Training Center in Burnley, allowing Sean Dyche an opportunity to give each of the available players a few minutes.
Jay rodriguez Y Josh Brownhill both scored twice in the routine victory over Salford, while Ashley Barnes Y Johann Berg Gudmundsson they were on target against Morecambe.
Summer signing Nathan Collins debuted last weekend, but there was no Chris Wood Y Matej vydra for international engagements.
The £12m signing of Stoke City defender Collins is the Clarets’ only arrival on the field this summer, though Dyche is hopeful that more deals will be concluded.
This confrontation with Oldham in their first public friendly of the summer should provide Burnley with tough proof.
The Latics avoided relegation from League Two last season and won two of their three summer friendlies, defeating Ashton United and Stalybridge Celtic before losing to Wigan Athletic.
Gwion edwards and former Latics taker Callum lang gave Wigan a two-goal lead and Oldham failed to fully recover despite Hallam’s Hope retracting a goal before the break.
Hope was making her first appearance at the club since arriving from Swindon Town, one of five free transfers made by Keith Curlemen during the off-season.
Like his opponent, Oldham has just three friendlies to play before starting his league campaign, but good form will take precedence over this weekend’s result.

After nominating two different teams for last week’s closed-door friendlies, Dyche is expected to present an XI mix of seasoned pros and fringe players against Oldham.
Rodriguez and Barnes opened their pre-season accounts in previous friendlies and could pair here in the absence of Vydra and Wood.
Goalkeeper Wayne Henry Will be a few minutes after his arrival with a free contract this week, although his debut could come as a second-half substitute.
As for the hosts, they used seven trialists in defeating Wigan. It remains to be seen how many of these players will be considered again for the selection against Burnley.
Curle is expected to use Hope at the start for the second running game. While his new recruiting partner Sam Hart is pushing for inclusion after being used as a replacement last time.
