Hajri scored the goal which made the difference in the second half to ensure Oman win their 3rd match of the campaign and are set to finish in 4th place in the qualifiers.

The hosts had an inconsistent campaign with just 11 points from 9 matches and cannot even get into the play-off spot even with a win.

On the other hand, China played out a 1-1 draw against Saudi Arabia in their previous clash on Thursday.

Al-Shehri scored the opener for the visitors before a penalty from Zhu with 8 minutes to go ensured a point for the Chinese side.

The point keeps China in 5th place with 6 points from 9 matches and will look to win their last match and finish off on a high and avoid the wooden spoon.

Both sides last met in the Qualifiers in November, where it finished 1-1.

Team News

There is a clean bill of health for either side ahead of this clash with no injuries or suspensions as well.

Oman possible 11:

Rushaidi, Durbin, Habsi, Busaidi, Gheilani, Saadi, Khaldi, Al-Kaabi, Fawaz, Al-Hajri and Al-Muqbali

China possible 11:

Junling, Zhunyi, Dabao, Chenjie, Lei, Liu, Junmin, Xin, Bin Liu, Long and Zhang

Prediction: Oman 1-0 China

Both teams are out of contention and this dead rubber could help them show some promise before they depart.

However; China’s poor form and inability to win any of their last 5 matches does not give much of a chance and we fancy a slender win for the hosts by a sole goal.

Oman’s win over Vietnam gives them only the required motivation to finish off well.
