  • Tip Foster- 287 (England)Highest Test Debut

The English Cricketer- Reginald Erskine Foster, nicknamed Tip Foster scored his double ton against Australia in 1903/04. He tops this list with 287 runs in his debut match.

  • Jacques Rudolph- 222* (South Africa)

Jaques Rudolph scored an unbeaten 222 on Test debut against Bangladesh in Chittagong in 2003, two years after he played the unofficial match at Centurion against India.

  • Lawrence Rowe- 214 (West Indies)Highest Test Debut

Lawrence Rowe hit a magnificent double century on his debut. He went on to hit 214 runs in the match against New Zealand in 1971/72.

  • Mathew Sinclair- 214 (New Zealand)Highest Test Debut

He is an Australian-born New Zealand cricketer. Mathew scored 214 on his debut, against West Indies at Wellington in 1999, and followed that with 204 not out against Pakistan in the following summer. 

  • Brendon Kuruppu- 201* (Sri Lanka)Highest Test Debut

Sri Lanka’s wicket-keeping batsman Kuruppu scored unbeaten 201 runs. This was his debut match against New Zealand in 1987 

  • Devon Conway- 200 (New Zealand)

Devon is the latest addition on this list as he scored a double ton on his debut at Lord’s against England. This couldn’t have been better for him to start his 2021 season.
