Porto come into this clash on the back of a 3-2 win over Academico de Viseu and have another fixture still to be played against Roma before the season opener.

FC Porto has been brilliant since April and are yet to be defeated across all competitions since then with their last loss coming against Chelsea in the UCL.

On the other hand, Lille come into this one on the back of a 1-0 loss against Benfica on Friday as Ramos scored the first half to inflict defeat.

Prior to this Lille’s last defeat was in March 2021 against Nimes; which triggered their title ambitions and since then were unstoppable.

This contest is expected to raise the heat with plenty to offer. Players from both sides are in form and looking to make a difference.

This is Lille’s last friendly match before they face Ligue runners up PSG in the Super Cup final next Monday followed by the season opener against Metz.

Prediction: Porto 0-2 Lille

The French champions have been in better form although there is very little to choose from. With the likes of Yilmaz back from Euro 2020, the Lille attack looks stronger.

Hence, we expect them to win this one but not with Porto putting up a good fight.

Porto face the issues in their mid-field which will be taken advantage of by Lille.
