Pulisic at the double as Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 4-1 at Selhurst Park; reach the 4th spot


It was a dominant display from the Blues as Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 4-1 at Selhurst Park on Saturday in the Premier League to jump to 4th place in the league table.

Goals from Havertz, Zouma and a brace from Pulisic ensured the points for Tuchel’s Chelsea as they dominated the Eagles.
Christian Benteke pulled one back for the Eagles but all hope was lost by then.
Chelsea dominated and began with a high tempo and driving ability towards goal and it was not long before they hit the goal-scoring button
Havertz broke the deadlock in the 8th minute to put the visitors 1-0 ahead.

The second half was no different as Chelsea continued the onslaught on their hapless opponents.
Benteke pulled one back for Palace as he headed home Schlupp’s cross to make it 3-1 in the 63rd minute.
Guaita have only their keeper to thank as his blocks and saves have avoided a humiliation for the Eagles tonight

The American international met James’ deflected cross at the far post to apply the finish touch and score his second of the match.
It was the clinching goal which avoided any sort of comeback from the Eagles, who had no gas left in them.
Havertz had another clean and open chance to get his second but his shot was straight at the Palace keeper after missing the earlier one.
