RB Leipzig announce Jesse Marsch as head coach from 2021-22 season


RB Leipzig has named Jesse Marsch as the new head coach of the club from 2021-22 season onwards. He replaces Julian Naglesmann.
Julian Naglesmann is set to become the Bayern head coach from next season and hence Jesse replaces him.

He was assistant at RB Leipzig for the 2018-19 season before moving to Austrian club, Red Bull Salzburg where he is the current manager.
Some of his achievements are as follows:
2015- MLS Supporters’ Shield
2019/20- Austrian Bundesliga and Austrian Cup double.
He was announced as MLS Coach of the year in 2015.

Red Bull Salzburg won the Austrian Bundesliga last year and are current table toppers this season as well.

When at NY Red Bulls, Marsch held the record of most wins secured as manager with 75 wins out of 151 matches played.
Marsch played 14 seasons as a midfielder in the MLS with D.C United, Chicago Fire and Chivas USA. He won three league titles and four U.S Open cup titles.
The former American international player had a one-year stint as assistant coach of his national side.
RB Leipzig hopes to see Marsch hit the ground running when he takes over next season.
