RR beats CSK: In the exciting match of IPL, Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings. Shivam Dubey and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored brilliant fifties for Rajasthan in the high scoring match. Rajasthan has made the playoff battle even more interesting by winning the match by 7 wickets.

Earlier, with the help of an unbeaten century from the talented Ruturaj Gaikwad, Chennai Super Kings scored 189 for four in an IPL match against Rajasthan Royals.

Chennai scored 189 for four with Ruturaj’s century

Gaikwad scored an unbeaten 101 off 60 balls with the help of nine fours and five sixes. He played some such shots in his innings which will be remembered for a long time. Ravindra Jadeja supported him well by scoring 32 not out in 15 balls. Together they scored 55 runs in the last 3.4 overs.

Jadeja played four balls in the last over and Gaikwad got only two balls, who completed his century by hitting Mustafizur Rahman for a six off the last ball.

For the Royals, leg-spinner Rahul Teotia took three for 39 in his four overs but Gaikwad spoiled the celebration by hitting him for two consecutive sixes. He also hit sixes off left-arm fast bowler Akash Singh and Mustafizur.

The way he hit fast bowler Chetan Sakariya, it seemed as if he was playing a spinner. He hit most of the boundaries between mid-off and cover.

Gaikwad has scored 88, 38, 30, 45 and 101 not out since the resumption of the second phase of the IPL. Faf du Plessis (25) and his pair have given Chennai a great start in every match.

Chennai have 18 points from 12 matches with nine wins and have already qualified for the playoffs, while Rajasthan have ten points from 12 matches with five wins and are at the sixth position in the points table.
