Serie A: Inter fixture against Sassuolo has been called off due to Covid-19; check out more


Inter Milan have postponed their Serie A fixture against Sassuolo this weekend after two of their players in Stefan de Vrij and Matias Vecino have tested positive for Covid 19. The above players have gone into quarantine.
This comes after Inter Milan won their last match against Torino away from home 1-2. Inter are now on an eight-match unbeaten run since they lost their Coppa Italia Semi Final 1st leg at home 1-2 against Pirlo’s Juventus on 2nd February, 2021.

Inter are table toppers with 65 points after 27 games while Sassuolo are in 8th position with 39 points.
The partnership of Lukaku and Martinez has reaped rich dividends for Conte’s men as they have a combined 33 goals in the Serie A this season with Lukaku being the 2nd highest scorer this season with 19 goals after Ronaldo’s 23.
Inter have conceded the second least number of goals in the season with 26. Conte’s men have a significant 9-point lead at the top of the table and will still continue to be untouched even after the forced postponement of the fixture against Sassuolo.
There will also be a ban on international players joining up with their national squads from the Inter Milan squad. The rest of the Inter squad will undergo further tests on Monday
Inter’s next match will be against Bologna on 3rd April, 2021.
