Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to sign a contract extension at AC Milan which keeps him tied down to the club till 2022.

The Swedish striker is set to turn 40 years old this year but still has the energy and fire to continue and inspire the football world and his teammates.

Zlatan has scored 15 goals and provided 2 assists in 17 appearances for the Rosseneri this season.

The Swedish international recently returned from retirement to help his side for the World Cup Qualifiers.

Zlatan joined AC Milan in 2019 on a six-month contract and sparkled in his short stint. He scored 10 goals and provided 5 assists in 18 appearances in the 2019/20 Serie A season.

In this season, Zlatan has scored 17 goals and provided 3 assists across 25 matches in all competitions.

He has the hunger to lead from the front and score important and crucial goals and AC Milan hope to see him continue to do the same.

Zlatan missed the last two matches for Pioli’s men, due to suspension and injury. He is expected to return soon after AC Milan lost their last match to Sassuolo 2-1.

The Rosseneri have secured 66 points this season and are 10 points behind table toppers, Inter Milan.

It looks unlikely that Milan could stifle Inter’s pursuit of a first title in over a decade. But with Zlatan set to stay, the final push for this season could end on a high.
