Serie A Result: Roma beats Lazio by 2-0, thrash Lazio out of Champions League. 

Roma beats Lazio: Roma killed Lazio’s chances of appearing in the Champions League next season after defeating them 2-0.

AS Roma won the 176th edition of the Derby della Capitale with a score of 2-0.

The match is played in a series of matches in Week 37 of the Italian League at the Stadio Olimpico, (16/5) IST.

The defeat in the capital derby meant that Lazio. Who are in sixth place, failed to add to their 67 points.

Although they still have two matches, Lazio will certainly can not catch up to the top four. So that next year they will only appear in the second tier of UEFA competition, the Europa League.

In contrast, Lazio almost equalized in the 75th minute with an attack that ended in an Alberto cross. Unfortunately Fuzato was once again swift to block Ciro Immobile’s shot.

Three minutes later, Roma successfully doubled their lead when Pedro Rodriguez fired a long-range shot that nestled comfortably in the bottom left corner of Lazio’s goal.

Lazio’s attacks in an effort to get back from behind never came to fruition and the score at 2-0 for Roma lasted until the whistle sounded loudly at the Olimpico, greeted by the cheers of Il Lupo’s players.

In the next match, Roma will visit Spezia’s headquarters on Sunday (23/5) next week. While Lazio will have their first postponed match week 25 against Torino at the Olimpico on Wednesday (18/5).
