Sourav Ganguly’s biopic is on the card Ranbir Kapoor is the first choice for the role
BCCI President Sourav ganguly confirms the making of biopic, eventually ‘Dada’ agreed. Sourav Ganguly has given his nod to shoot his biopic. This biopic of the former captain of the Indian team will prove to be a huge blockbuster.
According to sources, this biopic will be made by a very big production house whose budget will be around 200-250 crores.
BCCI President Confirms Himself
Speaking to News18, Ganguly said, “Yes, I have said yes to the biopic. The film will be in Hindi but it will not be possible to say anything about its director. It will take a few more days to arrange everything.”

Ranbir Kapoor is the first Choice
Sources said that the script is currently being written. The production house has held several meetings with Ganguly. But who will play the role of Ganguly, the answer has not been revealed. For this, it is being said that actor Ranbir Kapoor is the first choice for the role of Ganguly.
Ganguly himself took the name of Ranbir Kapoor himself but he also said that some other actors are also in the line from whom the name can be thought of. The film will show the journey of Sourav Ganguly from his cricketing career to his becoming the President of BCCI. It has not been mentioned how long this film can be in theaters.
Earlier, the biopic of MS Dhoni was made and before that the biopic of Mohammad Azharuddin was made. Sachin Tendulkar’s documentary has also been made.
At present, the biopic ’83’ of Kapil Dev, who won India’s first World Cup in 1983, is also going to be released. Ranveer Singh is playing the character of Kapil Dev. Not only this, biopics of women cricketers Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami are also being made.
