Spain WC 2022 Squad: Luis Enrique announced Spain’s 26-man squad for the FIFA WC in Qatar 2022, as La Roja eye a repeat of the 2010 WC success.

Sergio Busquets continues as captain of the Spain national team while Jordi Alba is announced as his deputy.

Luis Enrique’s Spanish 26-man squad for the World Cup as follows:

Goalkeepers: Unai Simon, Robert Sanchez and David Raya

Defenders: Dani Carvajal, Cesar Azpilicueta, Eric Garcia, Pau Torres, Hugo Guillamon, Aymeric Laporte, Jordi Alba and Jose Gaya

Midfielders: Sergio Busquets (C), Rodri, Gavi, Carlos Soler, Marcos Llorente, Pedri and Koke

Forwards: Yeremy Pino, Ferran Torres, Nico Williams, Alvaro Morata, Marco Asensio, Pablo Sarabia, Dani Olmo and Ansu Fati

Once again, Spain has taken a mix of youth and experience in their squad for Qatar 2022.

Pedri and Gavi are the players to watch out for as both the young talents have showcased their brilliance at club level.

The two lads won the Kopa Trophy in successive seasons, beginning a new dawn for the next gen of Spanish talent.

Luis Enrique will be looking forward to seeing his young side deliver at the big stage.

Spain is a part of Group E in the FIFA World Cup 2022 along-side Costa Rica, Germany and Japan.

The fixtures are as follows:

23rd November: Spain vs Costa Rica (09:30 PM IST), Al Thumama Stadium

28th November: Spain vs Germany (12:30 AM IST), Al Bayt Stadium

2nd December: Japan vs Spain (12:30 AM IST), Khalifa International Stadium

Spain secured a Round of 16 place finish in the 2018 after losing to Russia on penalties. However, this time Enrique looks to see his team go even further due to the quality in abundance.
