‘Superman Returns’ for Parma as Buffon joins his Oldest Club, Check Details
Buffon Parma: Gianluigi Buffon comes full circle. Parma confirms the arrival of the 43-year-old goalkeeper on Thursday morning, who will end his career at the club where it all started for him.
Buffon’s return to Parma had been imminent for some time. Earlier this week , the keeper confirmed that he would continue his career anyway and that he had received some ‘interesting’ offers. Buffon was in the picture at clubs that play in the Champions League, but there he could only become a backup. At Parma he is picked as the first choice.

Buffon made his breakthrough at Parma in 1995 and has already played 220 games for the club before making a top transfer to Juventus in 2001.

The goalkeeper stayed in Turin until 2018, then went to Paris Saint-Germain for a year and then returned to Juve. He played fourteen games for De Oude Dame last season, eight of which were in Serie A.
The goalkeeper will now try to help his childhood sweetheart back to the highest level. Parma finished at the bottom of Serie A last season and therefore slipped to Serie B. At the club they are very happy with the arrival of ‘superman’ Buffon. “He’s back where he belongs,” it sounds.
