Overview

Sweden has a talented squad filled with performers but the squad on a whole haven’t clicked at main events. A finish at the bottom of their group in the 2016 edition did not help their cause.

Euro 2020 Team Guide: Sweden - World SoccerDespite their poor performances, Sweden is a tough and gritty side capable of punching above their weight.

The absence of Ibrahimovic hurts but the likes of Kulusevski, Olsson, Krafth, Lindelöf need to step up and prove their mettle for the country.

In the last 2 editions of the Euros, Sweden’s performance was below par and in a group which consists of Spain, Poland and Slovakia; they would need to rise to the occasion if they aim to qualify for the knockouts.

The striking options are their strength as Larsson and Isak come into this tournament with the form.

The two players scored a combined 32 goals between them in their domestic leagues this campaign.

Sweden’s side has a number of experienced players in their squad and look to utilize that to the fullest in the upcoming continental event.
