Sweden 1-0 Slovakia: Sweden have moved to the top of Euro 2020 Group E with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Slovakia.

Emil Forsberg converted a penalty in the 77th minute to put his side in a commanding position ahead of the knockout stages of the tournament.

Sweden, after a lot of possession and shots on target, finally took the lead in the second half. Substitute Robin Quaison won a penalty for the Swedes which was converted by the impressive Forsberg.

The key moment

Slovakia’s closest attempt on goal, which was kept out by Olsen. The attempt seemed to wake Sweden up as afterwards they carried much more of a threat going forward, eventually taking the lead from the spot.

Player of the match

Alexander Isak wreaked havoc up front for Sweden and gave Slovakia’s defence plenty to think about throughout the game.

He might not have been on the scoresheet but his drive to win the game certainly motivated his team mates.
