The Villans have been extremely productive in the transfer market as they made a number of signings in the hope for squad rebuilding.

Aston Villa drifted away after a strong start to last season as they finished 11th and will aim for improvement this time.

Villa has spent £93 million in the market as they made a number of investments.

Danny Ings, Leon Bailey, Ashley Young, Emiliano Buendia were a number of notable signings made by the Premier League side as they look to rebuild.

They have not been entirely able to compensate the sale of Jack Grealish to Manchester City.

But with the squad at their disposal, Aston Villa aims to put in strong and good performances with a chance to creep into the top half of the Premier League.

Chelsea

The Blues acquired the Belgium striker, Romelu Lukaku from Inter for £97.5 million to strengthen their title charge this season.

Chelsea won the UEFA Champions League last season but just about secured a 4th place finish in the Premier League.

They had the issue of goals as Tammy Abraham, Timo Werner did not prove to be much of a goal-threat.

Hence, the signing of Lukaku ensures a finisher who keeps the goals coming, which is exactly what Thomas Tuchel needs.

Lukaku will look to keep his good form going as he returns to the Blues where he spent a season.

Manchester City

He made his Man City debut in the Community Shield loss to Leicester and was also a part of the opening day loss against Spurs; where he made his PL debut for the Cityzens.

Manchester City will hope to see the best of their acquisition as the season goes by.
