Winning a UCL-Euro double title in one season is an achievement which has been won by only a few and Italy’s victory gave 2 of their players a chance to enter this celebrated list.

The latest entrant into this list is Chelsea and Italy’s Jorginho, who won the UCL 2020-21 and Euro 2020 title with the two sides respectively.

Jorginho was an integral part of both sides and managed to lift both titles within the same season.

His desire, consistency, hold-up play and experience makes him a key player for whichever side he represents due to his quality.

Pepe

ImageThe Portugal center-back added himself to this list in 2016 when he won the UCL-Euro doubles title for Real Madrid and the national side.

Real Madrid beat Atlético Madrid 5-3 on penalties to win the UCL while a solitary Eder goal won Portugal the Euro 2016 title.

Pepe was a massive part of both the playing 11’s and made history as he helped Portugal lift their maiden International title.

Juan Mata

ImageThe Spanish midfielder won the UCL title and European championship in 2012 respectively.

Chelsea lifted their maiden UCL title when they beat Bayern in 2012. Mata provided the assist for Drogba’s equalizer but missed his spot-kick.

He scored a goal in Spain’s 4-0 triumph over Italy in the Euro Final as well.

Ronald Koeman

PSV Eindhoven beat Benfica in the 1988 European Cup final 6-5 on penalties.

Netherlands managed to win the 1988 Euros when they beat West Germany in the final 2-1.

Here too, Koeman played his part when he scored the equalizer/opening goal for the side.
