Trent-Alexander Arnold: Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to miss the Euro 2020 after he suffered a thigh tear against Austria.

He joins Mason Greenwood on the sidelines due to injury.

TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD INJURY

The Liverpool defender suffered the injury against Austria and is set to be out for 4-6 weeks. As a result of which, he will miss the continental event.

He scored 2 goals and provided 7 assists in 36 Premier League appearances this season.

Trent’s selection in the Euro squad was deserved but with the injury has jolted England’s chances massively in the competition.

England are in Group D and would face Croatia, Czech Republic and Scotland.

Arnold played the entire 90 minutes against Austria as England won 1-0.

The defender seems to hold his thigh by the end of the game, which did not send a good sign.

England play their Euro 2020 opener against Croatia on June 13th at the Wembley Stadium as the Three Lions aim to win their maiden Euro title.

Trent Alexander Arnold’s pace and crossing ability gave him the edge of others and with this injury, Southgate could look for another option to replace him.
