Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City has been the team to beat in the Champions League this season.
Their robust and attacking mindset had made it difficult for every opposition to counter them.
The CItyzens topped their group to qualify for the Round of 16 where they eased past Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Next in their way was another German side in Borussia Dortmund against whom they won convincingly.
Pep’s men faced Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals and were emphatic in their display and qualified for their maiden UCL final appearance.
Everyone seemed to gel in and make a difference to the setup. The puzzle was slowly taking shape and was complete by the time Man City reached the end of the season as they became champions.
A shot at the title in their first final could well open doors to many possibilities.
