This season too we have seen some young sides enter the competition hoping to have all their aces up the sleeves and execute match-winning performances.

The Ukrainian champions once again make their way into Europe with the objective of gaining consistency and valuable quality time amongst the best in the business.

With an average squad age of 25.6 years, Kyiv are hoping to show promise in the Champions League.

They are in a challenging group with the likes of Barcelona, Benfica and Bayern but would be confident of creating an upset or two along their journey.

The Swiss champs have an average age of 25.4 years in this season’s competition and after a thrilling win over Manchester United on MD 1, things only seem to get better from here on.

Young Boys have some experience and quality in their ranks and will look to stitch some cohesive performances as they eye qualification.

With the likes of Man United and Atalanta; it may not be so straightforward but the effort, character will be tested in time to come.

Another Ukrainian side heading into this season with a young squad is Shakhtar Donetsk.

The average age in this UCL squad is 25.2 years and look to come to the party through the likes of Traore and Solomon.

Shakhtar have regularly been in the UCL but have not reaped much success, but with a talented squad at the helm we can expect better contests.

AC Milan

AC Milan has a relatively young squad this time with the average age of 24.9 years.

Stefano Pioli has the character, desire to develop a match-winning combination for Milan to reap success.

Players such as Leao, Saelemaekers, Diaz have proven their worth through top performances and are expected to step up for AC Milan.

Salzburg

This will certainly be a testing time for Matthias Jaissle’s boys given their inexperience in the tournament.

But given the exuberance of youth; the boys are up for the challenge and can only learn at this stage of their careers and on this platform.

The UCL brings out the best from the participating sides and Salzburg is up for the challenge.
