UEFA Euro news: Squads size increased to 26 players for June event, check out


In a major development, UEFA has confirmed that squads for Euro 2020 will have 26 instead of 23 players.
In such tough times, there are chances of players falling prey to the virus and hence UEFA has allowed each team to add 3 surplus players to the squad for the event.
Despite the additional players, the matchday squads would remain limited to 23 players.

Each team will be allowed to make 5 substitutions per game at the Euros.
The event will take place between June 11- July 11, 2021 with the final at the Wembley Stadium in London.
The matches will be played across 11 venues in 11 different cities.
London, Rome, Baku, Saint-Petersburg, Sevilla, Bucharest, Amsterdam, Glasgow, Copenhagen, Budapest and Munich will host the showdown event.
The deadline for naming the squads is June 1.
