UEFA Latest News: The UEFA Champions League qualification is a tournament which challenges the best of players from across Europe.
Like every season, we see 32 teams who would be drawn to play the European event.
This time three teams are set to miss out on the top European competition due to their domestic failures in UEFA Latest news.
Lazio, Marseille and Borussia Mönchenglandbach have not performed well in their respective domestic leagues and missed out on the top 4 positions.
Hence, we look at the reasons why these three sides could not make it to Europe.

LAZIO
ImageThe Italian side are set to finish 6th in the Serie A this season which means no UCL.
Lazio’s performances lacked direction and were never comfortable in reaching the top 4 this season.
With 11 losses in the league, they miss out on UCL football with either of Milan, Napoli or Juventus set to take their place.
Apart from Immobile, Lazio lacked goals and support from other players which led to their downfall this season.

MARSEILLE
ImageThe 2019-20 Ligue 1 runners-up are currently 5th and are set to finish the season in the UEL spot.
With 11 draws and 10 losses in 37 matches, Marseille lost the plot and could not repeat last season’s heroics.
Monaco is the side which has taken their spot in the top 4 this season.
BORUSSIA MĂ–NCHENGLADBACH
ImageThe German side are 8th in the current Bundesliga table and will not play in the Champions League.
Wolfsburg has taken their place as Die Wölfe has performed exceptionally this season.
Die Wölfe is the fourth team to join Bayern, Leipzig, Dortmund in the UCL next season.
Mönchengladbach endured a tough season and miss out on the European competition next season.
With these sides missing out on Champions League football, it is a chance for the new sides to take over and stamp their mark in the elite European competition.
