Manchester United advanced to their UEFA Europa League final on aggregate 8-5 despite losing 3-2 on the night against Roma on Friday.
Dzeko and Cristante scored for Roma while Cavani’s brace ensured United got the goals.
But it was Telles’ own goal which gave the home side the all-important 3rd goal and victory.
It was chances galore throughout for the home side as they had an unbelievable 13 shots on target as against United’s 5 shots.
Roma started off well and tested De Gea almost immediately as he saved Mancini’s header which he handled.
Mkhitaryan came close but could only manage the side netting.
Cavani had the best chance for United in the early exchanges but he lobbed the ball onto the top of the bar before it went out.
Mirante made his first save of the match as he denied Cavani’s vicious shot from eight yards.
Pellegrini came close against but De Gea got down to make a brilliant save from close range.
