Valencia retirement: Antonio Valencia officially announcement his retirement from football which brings the curtains down on a 17-year career.
ImageThe Ecuadorean played 480 club matches in total scoring 33 goals and providing 77 assists in a glittering career.
He even represented his country, Ecuador with 99 international caps scoring 11 goals.

Valencia played for Villareal, Wigan Athletic, Manchester United, L.D.U. Quito before finishing his career at Querétaro.
ImageAntonio signed for Manchester United from Wigan Athletic in 2009 and won 2 Premier League titles, an FA Cup, Two league cups, three Community Shields and the Europa League.
ImageHe proudly captained Manchester United in the Europa League final which the Red Devils won by beating Ajax 2-0.

The Ecuadorean became Manchester United’s club-captain after Rooney departed in the summer of 2017.
ImageHe received many accolades as a United player which includes the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year, Goal of the season and Players’ Player of the Year in 2011/12 season.
Valencia won the latter in 2016/17 as well before finishing his United career in 2019.
He left United with 339 appearances scoring 25 goals for the club and giving 62 assists.
His honours include a Copa Ecuador in 2019 for LDU Quito as well.
Valencia made his international debut in 2004 and represented the country in the 2006, 2014 FIFA World Cups as well.
ImageHe even played in the 2007 and 2011 Copa America for Ecuador. Antonio Valencia played a majority of his career as a right back cum right winger and reaped a lot of success.
He made his last Red Devils appearance exactly two years ago to this day.
