Virat Kohli Overall Captaincy Record in RCB| Check Out Stats & Records

Kohli Captaincy Record RCB: Virat Kohli played his final match as RCB captain in the Eliminator against KKR. Here’s a look at his overall record at the helm of the Bengaluru franchise!

RCB skipper Virat Kohli had earlier this season announced that he would not continue as captain of this side after the current season.

After their loss against KKR in the Eliminator, RCB are out of this season’s IPL. This also means that Kohli’s stint as the captain of the Bengaluru franchise has also come to an end.

The Indian skipper will remain without a trophy as an IPL captain. As an era at RCB comes to an end, we look back at Kohli’s record as RCB skipper:

Total Matches Played as Captain: 140

Total Wins: 66

Total Losses: 70

No Result: 4

Win Percentage: 47.5%

Under his leadership, RCB reached one final, in the year 2016. However, in the years 2017 and 2019, the team finished last on the points table.

As far as his personal form is concerned, Kohli scored 4,881 runs as captain, averaging close to 42, at a strike rate of approximately 133. He also scored 5 centuries during this time, 4 of them coming in the 2016 season!

Overall, it is a good record for someone who has been captain for this long! However, it will always be measured by the yardstick of number of trophies won, and this is where it will fall short.

We all hope that King Kohli gets to lift the coveted IPL trophy someday, even if it’s going to  be just as a player!
