WWE Day 1 Spoilers: Several moments ago, WWE held the recordings of Friday Night SmackDown for the episode of December 24, 2021.
The Christmas special of the blue show featured several matches, including a Gauntlet Match of twelve superstars to define the next contender for the Intercontinental Championship of WWE.
Participants in order of entry were Angel, Mansoor, Erik, Shanky, Ivar, Sheamus, Drew Gulak, Cesaro, Ricochet, Humberto, Jinder Mahal and Sami Zayn.
The latter and Ricochet were the last ones standing, ending the match when Sami successfully landed his Helluva Kick for the victory on the count of three. “The Critic of Critics” will face Shinsuke Nakamura in two weeks at the first pay-per-view next year.

WWE DAY 1 will take place on Saturday, January 1, 2022 from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
